24 FRAMES IN MAY: 2025

FILM IS NOT DEAD

The rules are simple: Shoot a roll of film during the month of May, 2025.
We love film as much as we love digital.

24 Frames in May

One Roll. One Month. One Chance.

There was a time when photography was a risk.

You loaded a roll of film, not knowing if you would get it right — or even close.
You measured light with your gut.
You trusted your hands to remember what your eyes had seen.

You didn’t shoot a hundred frames to find the one.
You shot one frame because you felt it.

This May, we’re taking it back.
24 Frames. 31 Days.
No retakes. No machine-gun bursts. No instant gratification.

Just you, your camera, and the slow, stubborn magic of film.

The Rules Are Simple

  • Use one roll of 24 exposure 35mm film.

  • Shoot anytime during May 2025.

  • At the end, select your four favorite frames.

  • Submit them to share with the group.

That’s it. No second roll. No sneaking in a bonus roll “just in case.”
One chance to make something real.

Why?

Because slowing down makes you see differently.
Because knowing you have a limited number of frames makes you shoot with your heart — not just your hands.
Because photography wasn’t supposed to be easy.

It was supposed to be honest.

We Aren’t Chasing Perfection.
We’re trying to make a photograph that means something.
A photograph that took a little risk.
A photograph that had a little patience baked into it.

And yeah — a dash of silver halide grain doesn’t hurt either.
