HEROES AMONG US
HEROES AMONG US
There are heroes all among us and the magazine has commissioned you to make a photograph of someone in your town, Heroes come in all shapes and sizes and ages. Heroes do big things, and heroes do small things. You will have to fictionalize what it is your hero did/does for this shot, and it can be whatever you want it to be. These kinds of portraits usually require some planning and coordination with the subject as well as quick setups. You do not have all afternoon to get these shots, usually only an hour or so – many times less than that with the subject. Plan accordingly.
THE PARTICULARS:
- This is a vertical image
- Color or Black and White (as long as you can justify the black and white)
- People or still life
- Compositionally it should pull us in
- Consider shooting it near where the hero made his/her effort
- Create tension with shadow if needed
